Hi ladies - a couple periods ago, I had what I believe was an awful contact dermatitis reaction to pads that I've been using for years. I went to urgent care (couldn't get in to see OB or primary) - they did an examination and swab, which came back negative for bacteria, yeast and parasite. All appeared fine from the doctor's perspective.
I tried one brand of period underwear and they cut into me (I might try Knix next). I use a cup, but need extra leak protection. I'm reacting to Carefree and Always pads.
I used cloth diapers, and currently wearing an organic cotton/bamboo diaper insert as a pad + my cup! It's not too bulky, but I'd like another option. I don't know what's going on - but if you ladies have any suggestions for organic or reusable pads, or organic tampons that you like, I'd be so grateful. I'm super uncomfortable. Thank you!

Do you have any asian stores in your area? South Korea makes these organic cotton feminine products and they’re amazing! I can’t remember the name or brand but I always get them at the H Mart whenever i visit Denver. Look for a green/brown packaging with a picture of a cotton plant. They’re also not super expensive compared to US made organic cotton products. I am visiting CO next week and will be going to H Mart for some stuff, if you remind me i’ll get you the product details

@stolichnaya01,
I live in an area of LA with a large Asian population, and we have an H Mart close by! I will go today in search of these. Thank you sooo much.

I have been using Rael and they have been great. My mom used them when she visited and she said her other pads gave her a rash and the rael ones didn’t ♀️

@nachoaveragemom,
tell me more! Are they leak-proof? I have a Saalt cup but it's a bit leaky (admittedly, I might need the larger size - I use the small one). I'm interested!

@AL1821,
I wouldn’t say they are full teak proof. But I didn’t have any issues with leaks until I had my last baby. I probably need to do some pelvic floor therapy. But you change them every 12 hours. They’ve drastically reduced my cramps and shorten my periods. Look up some videos! They’re the best ever

L. brand pads are great!! they have good adhesive, are well shaped so they fit in your underwear, absorb well, etc. i have slightly sensitive skin and have no problems with this brand. their tampons are nice too!

@hannahteamarie,
Agree on L pads! Or naturcare pads. Anything organic cotton and dye free. OP don’t go for Knix! I used Knix for years (was even a product tester and ambassador) but after their huge lawsuit I don’t believe their claims anymore. I always got irritation if I used them days in a row (to be clear, I had at least 10 pairs) and they made me so itchy despite being thoroughly cleaned. I can’t help but think they did actually have some sketchy materials in them.

@baguettesfor3,
thank you for the heads up on Knix. I'm having another reaction (not as bad as last time) - I definitely need to stick with only organic because this is SO uncomfortable. I'm miserable rn!
