Merciless blitz on defenceless Gaza — growing numbers
of dead and injured

56 killed — 108 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, resulted in the death of 84 residents and wounding of 168. Civil Defence crews retrieved seven more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged buildings, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 51,495, with the total wounded at least 117,524. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since 7 October 2023, is at least 90 and, that of those injured, is more than 207. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Ramallah – 21:40, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, stormed the town of Sinjil, seriously wounding a resident: Izz al-Din Nidal Alwan.
Israeli Army attack – 2 injured: Jenin – 00:25, Israeli forces stormed and patrolled the town of Ya’bad. Two people, riding a motorcycle, were injured and hospitalised after being run over by a military vehicle.
Israeli Army attack – 1 seriously injured and hospitalised: Tulkarem – the Israeli Army continued storming the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps in the city, opening fire while invading homes and taking prisoner three residents. At 01:20, a Nour Shams refugee, Mohammed Abdel Razek Asaad Zahra, was admitted to hospital in a coma, with injuries all over his body, as a result of being severely beaten-up by Israeli troops.
Israeli Army attack – youngster shot and killed: Nablus – 10:15, Israeli troops stormed Salem village, shooting and killing a 17-year-old youth: Abdul Khaliq Musab Abdul Khaliq Jabour.

Israeli Army attack – 1 youngster wounded – 3 other people beaten-up: Bethlehem – 22:20-midnight, Israeli Occupation forces raided the town of Beit Fajjar, wounding a 17-year-old youth, Muhammad Yusuf Naim Taqatqa, and severely beating-up three other residents.
Home invasion and forced personal demolition: Jerusalem – 15:00, the Israeli Occupation forced a resident, Sufyan Muhammad al-Lawzi, to destroy his home in Kafr Aqab – or otherwise be forced to pay an extortionate sum to the Israeli Occupation demolition squads, who would be sent in to do it.
Home invasions: Jenin – 01:45, Israeli forces raided the town of Araba and invaded a number of homes.
Home invasion: Qalqiliya – 16:50, the Israeli Army raided the town of Azzun and searched a house.
Home invasion and robbery: Hebron – 13:30, Israeli troops raided the city and invaded a home, robbing the householder, Raed Al-Zeir, of cash to the approximate value of $US1500.
