August 1 – BTCC will host a movie night Saturday, August 1, here at the church. The movie will begin at 6:30. Our first movie of the summer season will be The Investigator, a true story based on the real-life experiences of Richard Romano (Buanacore), older brother of Ray Romano. Richard’s character, Robert Barone, was featured weekly in the TV show Everyone Loves Raymond. But this is no comedy. It depicts the true story of an NYPD detective who gets bounced from the police force, deals with personal tragedy and ends up teaching criminal law and coaching a Christian high school baseball team. There is no charge for this movie. Popcorn and soft drinks will be provided.  Rated PG-13 for some drug material and a scene of violence.

August 24 – The Missions Team will be serving at Center of Hope in Weatherford. Volunteers will need to arrive at the Center of Hope by 8:45 am and plan on staying until 2:30pm. The Center has already informed us to expect to serve a minimum of 125 meals. See Janet Walker for volunteer details.

August 30 – Our next 5th Sunday Fellowship Meal will be here at the church on Sunday, August 30. We will once again be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, chips and drinks. We will need volunteers for desserts. To volunteer for the Hospitality Team, please contact Gillian Hayzlett, Team Leader, at 817-500-2692.

September 6 – BTCC will once again be blessed with the music of Grandpa’s Neighbors. Grandpa’s Neighbors is a mother-daughter group that base out of Bennington, OK. Their truth-filled messages always point back to Jesus, the source of their strength. Their harmony is sweet and simple, not taking away from the message of the song and blessing anyone who appreciates music.

September 19 – The Missions Team will be hosting a booth at the Annual Springtown Wild West Festival in Springtown. As usual, we will need plenty of volunteers to man the booth. We are asking for our men and women of BTCC to step up and out of your comfort zone and donate just a few hours to help witness and testify for our Jesus.

BTCC will host a Movie Night Saturday, August 8, here at the church. The movie will begin at 6:30. This week we will be showing “Do You Believe” which is from the same team that brought us “God’s Not Dead”. A dozen different souls-all moving in different directions, all longing for something more. As their lives unexpectedly intersect, they each are about to discover there is power in the Cross of Christ … even if they don’t yet believe it. When a local pastor is shaken to the core by the visible faith of an old street-corner preacher, he is reminded that true belief always requires action. His response ignites a faith-fueled journey that powerfully impacts everyone it touches in ways that only God could orchestrate. More than a movie, it’s a question we all must answer in our lifetimes: DO YOU BELIEVE? There is no charge for this movie. Popcorn and soft drinks will be provided.  Dove rated, 5 out of 5 stars),  PG-13 for thematic elements, an accident sequence and some violence.  Highly recommended.

Everyone is invited to our weekly Jam Session every Thursday, beginning at 7pm. Whether you play an instrument, love to sing or just like listening to some good old bluegrass and gospel, grab your instruments, invite the neighbors and come join us.
